The vehicles are available at multiple locations in:
Dietzenbach: Darmstädter Straße, Europaplatz, Limesstraße, Bussteig, Werner-Hilpert-Straße, Siedlerstraße, Max-Planck-Straße
Heusenstamm: Bahnhofsplatz, Neuer Weg, Obertshäuser Straße, Am Lindenbaum
Mühlheim: Friedensstraße
Obertshausen: Richard-Wagner-Straße, Beethovenstraße, Ringstraße, Heusenstammer Straße
Seligenstadt: Steinheimer Straße, Aschaffenburger Straße, Marktplatz, Freiherr-von-Stein-Ring, Hauptstraße, Große Rathausgasse, Am Hasenpfad
Hainburg: Kirchplatz, Rathausgasse
Vehicle Returns & Conditions
Can the sharing vehicles be returned to multiple locations, or must they always be returned to the pickup station? (Free-floating or station-based?)
The service is station-based, meaning vehicles must be returned to their original location.
What are the return conditions for the vehicles?
The vehicle must be returned to the designated charging station.
Charging must be initiated before completing the return.
Keys, charging cards, and parking cards must be placed in the designated holder inside the glove compartment.
Which vehicles are available at which locations?
Each location has specific cars assigned. Some vehicles are for public car sharing, while others are for municipal use.
Driver's License Validation
Does the driver's license need to be validated? If yes, how can this be done?
Yes, validation is required on-site at Maingau Energie GmbH (63179 Obertshausen, Ringstraße 4).
Insurance & Additional Drivers
In which countries are the sharing vehicles insured?
Germany.
Is a second driver insured? If yes, what conditions must they meet?
Yes, but with conditions:
The second driver must be at least 25 years old.
Must have a valid Class B driver's license.
The second driver must be approved and present with the main driver.
The main driver is responsible for ensuring compliance with all rules.
Charging Process
How is the charging cable connected?
Unlock the vehicle, as some charging ports only open when unlocked.
Check the charging station for readiness and error messages.
Open the charging port on the vehicle.
Plug in the charging cable, first into the vehicle, then into the charging station.
Special instructions for different car models:
Cupra Born: Charging port is at the rear left; the car must be unlocked.
Hyundai Kona: Charging port is at the front; must be unlocked via the display or key.
VW ID.3: Charging port is at the rear right; unlock using the key.
How is the charging process started?
Hold the charging card (located in the glove compartment) against the charging station reader.
Verify that charging has started by checking indicator lights (usually green or blue).
How is the charging process stopped?
Unlock the vehicle to release the charging port.
Check the charge level via the car’s display or app.
Hold the charging card against the charging station reader again or stop charging via the car's screen.
How is the charging cable disconnected?
Ensure the vehicle is unlocked.
Unplug the cable from the vehicle first, then from the charging station.
Store the charging cable in the trunk.
Charging Stations & Cards
Where can the charging cards be used?
The cards can be used at most public charging stations.
A total of 127,000 charging points across Germany are available.
Users can check real-time availability in the Maingau Autostrom app.
Which cards are inside the vehicle?
Only one charging card is stored in the glove compartment.
No PIN is required for use.
How is the charging card used?
Hold the card against the designated reader on the charging station.
Wait for the blue light to blink, confirming that charging has started.
Monitor the charging status via the car display or app.
Additional Information
Safety: Do not use damaged cables or charging equipment.
Rain: It is safe to plug in or unplug the cable in the rain, as all connectors are weatherproof.
Accident & Damage Reporting
What should be done in case of an accident or breakdown?
Contact the police immediately.
Fill out the damage report form, located in the glove compartment.
Send the completed form via email to [email protected].
For breakdowns within a 50 km radius, contact Murmann Towing Service (Rodgau).
For longer distances, users may contact any local towing service and report the details.
Are there additional guides or documents inside the vehicle?
Yes, a user manual with important information is stored in the glove compartment or passenger door.
