What rates are offered? Is there a rate overview?
Please refer to the app for more information. The prices listed in the app are always binding.
At which locations are the sharing vehicles available?
Currently at 3 stations, each at the two university locations and at the train station. More locations may be added. The app shows where the stations and vehicles are.
Can the sharing vehicles be returned to multiple locations or must they always be returned to the pickup station? (Free Floating or Station-Based)
Most bicycles and e-bikes can also switch between stations (in the "Zagga! 2 day" booking model). However, cargo bikes and e-cars must always be returned to the same station where they were picked up.
What are the return conditions for the vehicles? (e.g., car at the designated charging point, charging process started, key chip, charging (& parking) card in the holder in the
glove compartment)
E-bikes and e-cargo bikes must be reconnected to the charging cable if there is a free charging spot. For e-cars, the charging process must be started at the designated charging point. The charging card is in the glove compartment. The key card and the charging card must then be reinserted into the holder in the glove compartment to end the rental.
Which vehicles are available at which locations?
The best way to see which vehicles are where is through the app, especially for bicycles and e-bikes, which can also change locations.
Does the driver's license need to be validated? If so, how can it be validated?
If you want to use the e-cars in the "Zagga! 4 away" offer, you must validate your driver's license in advance. This can be done easily directly in the app, all digitally. It is important to ensure that any (if present) middle name is also included in the user profile; otherwise, the validation software may identify it as an error, and the driver's license may need to be manually approved by the project team, which can take time, especially on weekends.
In which countries are the sharing vehicles insured?
Bicycles, e-bikes, and e-cargo bikes are not insured. The e-cars are insured in Germany.
Is a second driver insured? If so, what conditions must they meet?
No, a second driver is not insured. Only the person who made the booking is allowed to drive.

Information about the charging process:
How to connect the charging cable:
Bike: Charging bars are available at the stations, with the corresponding charging cables for the e-bikes. Simply connect the vehicle before ending the rental. After ending the rental and securing the frame lock, avoid moving the bike to prevent an alarm. The e-folding bikes have a different charging port than the e-bikes, so there is a designated charging spot only for the folding bike at the campus city station. The e-folding bike must always be returned to the same station.
Car: Press the button on the key card or to the left of the steering wheel to open the charging flap under the Renault logo on the front of the car. At the Aspach station, the charging cable must be disconnected from the station and plugged into the car. A detailed instruction manual is available in the car.
How to end the charging process:
Bike: Simply unplug the cable from the e-bikes and e-cargo bikes. For e-cars, the charging cable must be unlocked using the button on the key card, which will automatically end the charging process.
Car: The charging cable for the e-cars locks automatically at the start of the charging process and cannot be unplugged until the charging process is ended using the button on the key card.
How is the charging process started?
For electric cars, after plugging in the charging cable, the charging card from the glove compartment must be held against the charging station until it is activated. The charging process will then start automatically. For the Renault Twizy, you simply need to plug the cable into the socket.
At which charging stations can the charging cards be used?
Car:
Only at the charging stations on the university campus. If charging is needed while on the road, users must obtain information themselves and cover the costs independently.
Which cards are in the vehicle? (Card type, card provider, possible PIN)
Car:
Only the charging card from Parkraumbewirtschaftung BW (PBW). No PIN is required.
How is the card used?
Car:
Charging card from PBW (Parkraumbewirtschaftung BW): For charging the electric cars at the charging stations of Hochschule Biberach.
Information on accident and damage reporting
What should be done in case of an accident or breakdown?
If third parties are involved in an accident, immediately call the police and inform our customer service by phone. Contact details for customer service can be found directly in the app. A written description of the accident must be submitted to us within 7 days of the incident.
Are there any additional instructions for users in the vehicle (e.g., How-to Guide)? If so, where can users find them?
Instructions on all important topics related to the electric cars can be found in the vehicles, usually in the glove compartment or in one of the side compartments on the door.
