Information about charging

How is the charging cable connected?

  1. Open the charging flap by pressing the corresponding button on the vehicle key.

  2. Remove the cover from the socket.

  3. Plug in the charging cable (there is no confusion of the two cable ends, only one end is pluggable).

  4. Insert the other end of the charging cable into one of the two sockets on the charging station (at Herzogin-Cecilie-Allee, use the left charging station).

  5. Authorize by holding the EWE-Go charging card at the RFID symbol of the charging station. The charging card is in the glove compartment next to the key chip or in the vehicle folder.

  6. Observe the display, the start of the charging process will be shown on the display.

How is the charging process started?

  1. Authorize by holding the EWE-Go charging card at the RFID symbol of the charging station. The charging card is in the glove compartment next to the key chip or possibly in the vehicle folder in the glove compartment.

  2. Observe the display, the start of the charging process will be indicated by a symbol on the display.

How is the charging process stopped?

Press the "open" button on the vehicle key (e-up) or for the Nissan Leaf, press the lower button for the charging flap — the charging process will stop.

How is the charging cable disconnected?

The cable is released and can then be easily unplugged.

At which charging stations can the charging cards be used?

The EWE-Go charging card can be used at most public charging stations nationwide in Germany — including fast charging stations (DC). A list of compatible stations in Germany is available through the EWE-Go app (available for download in the App Store/Play Store).

How is each card used?

The charging card is held at the charging station near the corresponding Wi-Fi symbol. Further steps are displayed on the charging station screen.

Information about accidents and damage reporting

What should be done in the event of an accident or breakdown?

Follow general safety regulations (warning notices). Fill out the accident report form, which is located in the vehicle folder in the glove compartment. Record details of the accident participants and describe the accident's circumstances. Hand over the insurance card (Gothaer) from the vehicle folder to the other party involved in the accident or request their insurance details. Accidents involving personal injury must always be reported to the police.
