At which locations are the sharing vehicles located?
Each vehicle has a fixed parking space with a corresponding charging point, which are distributed throughout the city of Tübingen.
The location to which the car belongs can be seen either directly in the app or in the Zoes on the center console, where the parking space is listed.
DIFFERENT: Free-Floating Cars
These do not have a fixed parking space and can be found throughout the city of Tübingen.
The free-floating cars are marked with pink speech bubbles stating, "free floating – You can rent and park me anywhere in the COONO area – without a fixed parking space." This marking can be found directly on the cars and also in the app.
Can the sharing vehicles be returned at multiple locations, or must they always be returned to the pickup station? (Free Floating or Station-Based)
Station-Based Vehicles
Each vehicle has a corresponding charging point, meaning parking space + charging station
It is not possible to end the rental outside of this, as the vehicles have assigned parking spaces in the backend.
If the charging station is occupied and reported, the vehicle can be parked near the charging station.
The cars have parking permits in the immediate vicinity.
The rental must be ended by an agent.
Illegally parked vehicles on COONO parking spaces can be reported directly by customers under 07071 204-3600 (Tübingen Public Order Office). The vehicle will then either be fined or towed.
DIFFERENT: Free-Floating Cars
These cars can be parked anywhere within the city of Tübingen and no longer necessarily at a charging station. The cars have special parking permits for the entire city area.
However, it must be ensured that they are parked properly, i.e.,
• not on private property,
• without blocking entrances and exits,
• not in other no-parking zones.
For the Tübingen parking garages "Altstadt-König" and "Metropol" as well as the main station underground garage, the free-floating cars have parking authorization. Entry and exit are via license plate recognition and are free of charge, meaning no parking ticket is required.
All other parking garages are designated as restricted zones, meaning the rental cannot be ended there. Usage is possible during the rental period, but the user must exit the parking garage before ending the rental and cover the parking fees themselves.
Which return conditions apply to the vehicles? (e.g., car at assigned charging point, charging process started, key chip, charging (& parking) card in the holder in the glove compartment)
The rental can only be ended if…
… the car is at the assigned charging point
… the charging process has started
… the key chip, charging (& parking) card is in the holder in the glove compartment
DIFFERENT: Free-Floating
The rental can only be ended if…
… the car is within the city of Tübingen
