Information about charging

How is the charging cable connected?

Open the charging flap on the vehicle. (Either by tapping the charging flap or by pressing the release button in the vehicle).

Connect the charging cable to the vehicle.

Connect the charging cable to the charging station.

How do I start the charging process?

After the charging cable has been properly connected, the charging card in the vehicle must be held against the reader of the charging station for about 3 seconds.

After a successful check of the charging card, the charging process will then start automatically. The user must observe the instructions and LEDs on the charging station.

How do I end the charging process?

The charging process can be ended by holding the charging card against the charging station again. Some charging stations with a display allow the charging station to be ended directly via the display.

If the charging process still cannot be ended, the user must contact the support hotline of the charging station provider. The phone number is printed on the back of the charging card, or it may also be printed directly on the charging station.

How is the charging cable stored?

The charging cable is first disconnected at the charging station, then disconnected from the vehicle and stored in the trunk again.

Information on accidents and damage reports

What should be done in the event of an accident or breakdown?

In the event of an accident (involving third parties or damage to third-party property, e.g. a tree or lamppost), the police must be notified in addition to the hotline. If the police do not respond, the station number and case number at the police station, the name of the police officer and the time of the call must be documented.

If the vehicle is no longer roadworthy (e.g. flat tire, missing exterior mirror), it must be towed. The user must call the hotline 07721 40504444 (Stadtwerke VS network control center, 24/7). Note to user: They must accompany the towing process and may not leave the vehicle.
