Where are the car sharing vehicles located?

  • Parking lot, Grafen-von-Rieneck-Straße, 97816 Lohr am Main

  • City administration, Zum Helfenstein 2, 97753 Karlstadt

  • Parking lot, Bilhildisstraße, 97209 Veitshöchheim

Can the car sharing vehicles be returned to multiple locations or must they always be returned to the pickup station? (Free-floating or station-based)

Station-based, always to the pickup station.

What are the return conditions for the vehicles? (e.g., car at designated charging point, charging started, key chip, charging (& parking) card in holder in the glove compartment)

Car must be charging, key chip and charging cards in holder in glove compartment.

Which vehicles are available at which locations?

  • Lohr: VW ID.4

  • Karlstadt: VW ID.4 and e-up!

  • Veitshöchheim: VW e-up!

Does the driver's license need to be validated? If yes, how can this be done?

Yes. Online or at the operational offices of ENERGIE in Lohr, Karlstadt, and Veitshöchheim, as well as at the city administrations.

In which countries are the car sharing vehicles insured?

Germany.

Is a second driver insured? If yes, what conditions must they fulfill?

Booking holder = main driver is responsible and may allow the vehicle to be driven by drivers who meet the conditions (terms and conditions on website). The booking holder = main driver must be present during the journey.


Information about the Charging Process

How is the charging cable connected?

Veitshöchheim: Connect charging cable to fixed wallboxes. After the trip, park the car, open the tank cap by pressing, remove plastic cap (only VW e-up!), insert charging cable into wallbox.

Karlstadt: Charging cable not fixed to wallbox. After the trip, park the car, take charging cable from trunk, open tank cap by pressing, remove plastic cap (only VW e-up!), insert charging cable into both sides (wallbox and vehicle).

Lohr: Connect charging cable to fixed wallboxes. After the trip, park the car, open tank cap by pressing, insert charging cable.

How is the charging process started?

Take out charging card from glove compartment, hold it up to the wallbox (green light), put charging card back into slot in glove compartment.

How is the charging process stopped?

Once the vehicle is unlocked, you can disconnect the charging cable. If it's not fixed, please place it in the trunk. If the cable cannot be unplugged, please close and reopen the vehicle (via app or key).

Where can the charging cards be used?

At the pickup station and at all charging stations of the charging network+.

What cards are in the vehicle? (Type of card, card provider, possibly PIN)

Charging network+ card.

How is each card applied?

To start charging at the pickup station and at all charging stations of the charging network+.


Information about Accident and Damage Reporting

What should be done in case of an accident or breakdown?

Insurance and procedures in case of an accident: Insurance: All vehicles are covered by liability and comprehensive/collision insurance. Your deductible is limited to €300. Breakdown procedure: In case of a technical defect or breakdown, please pull over and contact customer service at 09353 7901-6262. They will arrange towing, repair, or similar measures, or instruct you accordingly. Always prioritize your safety (hazard lights, reflective vest, and warning triangle). Procedure in case of an accident:

  1. Ensure your own safety. Activate hazard lights, wear a reflective vest, and set up a warning triangle.

  2. Call emergency services (112) if necessary and provide first aid.

  3. Notify the police (110), customer service (09353 7901-6262), and VW / Audi emergency service 24/7 (+49 1718705739) in any case (even for minor accidents). Do not admit fault without consulting customer service.

  4. Document the accident using the provided accident report forms (in glove compartment). Note names and addresses of involved parties, possible witnesses, and license plates of involved vehicles. For further processing, promptly send the police case number and accident report to Energieversorgung Lohr Karlstadt and Umgebung GmbH & Co. KG, Zum Helfenstein 4, 97753 Karlstadt.
